About us
The Yaonnakitkanta™ Cultural Society (“YCS”) is the producer of the UEP High School Hymn© audio CD with the objectives that it will:
a) encourage cultural leadership or a culture of excellence in our alma mater;
b) be a source of pride for our students when sung in intra- and/or inter-school events;
c) in cyberspace, re-unite her alumni, specially those nostalgic ones who are scattered abroad and longing to hear a word or two familiar of their high school days;
d) be, for our students, a song and a prayer;
e) be, for the School, a paradigm for values formation;
f) help usher in an era for culture and arts; and
g) be a fountain of myriad inspirations to the creative minds.
YCS’s mission is to compile and preserve the rich heritage and excellent culture of UEP imparting knowledge that impels industry and improves lives in Northern Samar, a wealth of confidence-building knowhow and experience, sown and grown with sweat and tears but always having the faith in the Divine Providence.
YCS’s vision is for UEP to be one learning institution which has come to value its heritage – reckoning that a community that acquires great knowledge without Godly virtues (which comes from recognizing the Divine Providence in how UEP become what it is) misses to live lives with the blessings of peace, grace, joy, and contentment (the best things in life being free).
YCS believes that Jesus Christ is Lord; He created heaven and earth; He alone saves souls; salvation is by faith (in Him) alone; the Bible is His word; and He cares, and has a design, for the UEP community.
