Wordpress 2.5 Image Upload Problems

The newly released wordpress 2.5 for me was nice, it has an interface that will attract your eyes. Very clean interface and very user friendy buttons and options, making it easier for users to update their site. But the thing that will shock you is its image uploader. Thats the only negative thing I experienced with Wordpress 2.5.

When you tried to upload an image it will prompt you with an error

This is so annoying. but dont worry. Here’s the solution :

1. Use your ftp to download this file called .htaccess

2. Edit the .htaccess to any notepad++ . You can download notepad++ . just type it in Google

3. Add this script above the existing text placed on your .htaccess

SecFilterEngine Off

SecFilterScanPOST Off

</Files>

</IfModule>

4. Thats it! Done. I hope this helps. You can go back and start blogging again.
